Port Stephens, New Castle

This is at Newcastle, NSW Australia.. we are still in Aussie mate~ ^^ around this place, we can go for sandboarding, dolphin and whale watching and lots more. this is my first time trying to play sandboarding. trust me, it was effin fun! but it was effin tired too because the sand hill was quite high and I dont really feel like climbing it for second time though..hahah and somehow, I wonder how people can survive in the middle of the desert.. though it was during winter season, this place is freaking hot in terms of the sun lighting onto the skin but it was cold and chilly too.. and you wont be disappointed with the scenery..

the picture below was about my trip with my uni mates. I got myself a free koala because I managed to answer the quiz given on the bus..hehehhe and pictures of me with my new korean and taiwan friends.. :D but i am soooo bad at remembering people's names..luckily i still remembered my cohort friends' name.. Ezalia..hehehehe this was one of the best memories I had in Aussie.. ^^

Vivid Sydney

This is an annual event that happens near winter.. and it was during malaysian school holiday too if i am not mistaken.. only at this time you can see the opera house turn into splendid view with unique design being flash onto it. They also changed the design every year so you wont be bored thinking that they will have the same show every year ^^ hehehhe

Auburn, Sydney

This was a trip to Auburn.. This place is sort of a middle-east area.. You can have arabic cuisine here such as baklava, pavlova, pizza, kebab and they are all worth travelling for..hahahah and you can also find a mosque here in this area.. Besides that, there is also a bookshop where you can get your hand on hadith books, sirah, books for children and lots more.. the shops are all around the train station and you can find it easily while strolling down the lane ^^

Blue Mountain, Sydney

My First International Students Trip

Why do you think this mountain is known as Blue Mountain? haaaa! Does anyone know the reasons? hehehe
This picture is free from any editing..and as you can see in the above picture, the sky is as blue as an ocean.. I would not know the real reason my self but I think it would be because of the sky itself. The blue sky made the mountain look blueish right? maybe the local had derived the name 'Blue Mountain' from the colour of its background..Maybe?
Here, you can see 'three sisters stone' behind my back. There is a legendary story behind why the stone is called as three sisters.. In my opinion, the story is a bit similar to the legendary story of Gunung Mat Cincang at Langkawi..
The story of the three sisters started with a few groups of aborigines tribe and there is this three beautiful sisters. The tribe were fighting with each other and to save the sisters, their tribe withdoctor turn them into stones with hope that after he finished dueling with the other tribe, he will remove the spell..but the witchdoctor ended up perished in the battle and the sisters remained as stones forever...now, Don't you think the story is a bit similar to our own legendary story too? heheheh
If you are interested with the story, you can read it in details here

This is the pictures from inside Jenolan Cave which is situated near the Blue Mountain... In this cave, they have a rock formation that gave similar effect to a music room/ orchestra hall... We did have the chance to listen to a song inside this cave and it does sounded like we were in a concert hall.. haha

Featherdale Wildlife Park

In my previous post, I was comparing Taronga Zoo with Featherdale Wildlife Park.. and now, here it is ^^
In Featherdale, you can also feed the kangaroo...There are also other animals that can be seen and played with. The above picture was my first visit to Featherdale Park with my cohortmates...

And the pictures below were my 2nd visit together with my family in the year of 2012. My parents together with my extended family including cousins were there for a holiday and at that moment, it was the beginning of winter. They wanted to experience cuddling the koala and kangaroo, so I brought them here because this place is much cheaper and gave much richer experience with Aussie animals. ^^

As you can see in the picture below, there are several attempts made to sabotage the kangaroos..hahahah Both my uncles and my dad tried their best to put their hands in the kangaroo pockets but failed.. LOL (kidding!) if they were ever did that, i'm sure all of em will be knock down by the roos..hahaha
But they really tried their best to hug the kangaroo..I guess now they felt happier after experiencing the Aussie life..hahahah

And our trip for that day ended here...This place is quite far from Sydney City and it will be easier to rent a car to get to this Wildlife Park. That is why they had prepared a city zoo at Darling Harbour to make it easy for tourist but it is also quite pricy..hehehe

Taronga Zoo

oh my~ I miss going sight seeing like this.. This is Taronga Zoo which is situated on the shores of Sydney Harbour in the suburb of Mosman. You can get to here either by bus or by ferry... Personally, I would prefer taking a ferry at Circular Quay to get to Mosman. Their zoo is SUPERB! When I was at Taronga zoo, I felt like I was on another island because I can see sydney city from the zoo. It is a very big zoo.. There are quite a few zoo in Sydney and each zoo gave you different types of experiences. If you wanted to cuddle the koala or kangaroo freely, it would be best to visit Featherdale Wildlife Park. The wildlife park is similar to a farm. Though you can hold them freely, but there are animal poops everywhere.. For a first timer, you wont notice the surrounding because you are too excited looking at the animals.. that is the case with me too.. LOL but at Taronga Zoo, it is more sophisticated and everything is very clean.. You can also cuddle the kangaroo or koala but you have to pay for it at different price. At Taronga Zoo, they have different types of animal shows and i like all of em! It was fun spending time at the zoo..haha You are never too old to visit a Zoo..hehehe

ROARRRR!!

Hey handsome~~~  :P

Gorgeous!

Socceroos Vs Harimau Malaya

hoyeahhh!! I was part of the crowds when Harimau Malaya went to Australia for a friendly match with Aussie team, Socceroos.. Malaysian students were provided with if not mistaken around 4+/- buses to get us to Canberra to watch the game. I don't really like football.. but the only team that I will support no matter what is Hijau Kuning (semangat Kedah itu haruss!) and Harimau Malaya if they were competing with other countries..I just loveee my country only...hahaha Despite losing the game, I still enjoyed our trip to Canberra for the sake of my country..acewah! haha The spirit of all Malaysian on that night was categorized as ON FIRE~~!! haha but there is this one weird aussie etiquette in the stadium.. you are not allowed to make noise.. everyone was watching the soccer match like they were following stock updates... but different to Malaysia teams, we were in high spirit of singing our harimau malaya song and all.. some of the aussie do feel uncomfortable with the noise and they did give us a few eye signals but some also tried to understand our culture especially the youngsters and they joined the group in charge of singing the song to sing as well.. it was fun and this my first stadium i visited in Aussie that was in Canberra...hahhaha after that, I did visit another stadium which was Sydney Olympic Park...quite a few time..ehehehhe but the picture below was just a mere visit to relax myself during the night..heheheh no special event at that moment i visited Olympic Park.. for the shopperholic, Direct Factory Outlet (DFO) is just nearby from this place.. :P

My life begins

A few weeks after we have arrived and settle down in Macquarie, our seniors prepared a Welcoming Party to us  around the MUV compound... This is our first BBQ party here.. Less that we know we will experience frequent BBQ Party here in Sydney.. Somehow, BBQ parties work wonders to keep people together because there is food for all.. hahaha Our timetable is like university, no more as in the IPG. So, this is the only time where people can get together and catch up new stories because we hardly cross with each other at uni. To experienced this laid back culture in Aussie is just wonderful... Work and play goes hand in hand and there is no stress around you :)

After the BBQ Party, we had our first trip out from Sydney City. We went to Canberra, the capital city of Australia. We visited the Parliament House, and on the way back, we also visited the great Big Merino Statue. It was hugeee and it is actually a tower. However, I find Canberra a bit boring to visit. hahahah I would prefer living in Sydney :P

After all those fun trips, we have to get back to our classes and assignments. This is Newport Public School. This is our first school visit in Australia. The children was awesome! the school environment is great! I wish i was a student here.. Look at the bottom picture. The students were having outdoor class and they were learning about plants through hands on activity. Interesting isn't it? ^^

Journey to the Down Under

My journey dated back in the year of 2011..I went to the down under as an undergraduate student majoring in Education (TESOL). Though I have been to other places around the world, but this journey meant the world to me as it is not only a two weeks travelogue but I was in the down under country for 2 years. It was a twinning programme between IPG and Macquarie University under the scholarship of Ministry of Education (MOE/KPM).

Tonight, I feel like writing everything before I truly forgot all my precious memories. Being far away from home, friends will be your closest family around you. I still remember the day where we (TESOL COHORT 2) were departing for Sydney from KLIA...Friends and family were there to sent us off...A few friends of mine were also there to send me away together with my family and off we flyyyy~~

Honestly speaking, if you ask me one significant thing about Aussie..I wouldn't say kangaroo.. I would say the sky~! look!! just look at how beautiful the sky in Aussie is.. When we travel, we will realize that though we are under the same sky, the colours, the 'texture', the 'patterns' or whatever you call it won't be the same. Just like human, we have different races, religions and colours and so do the sky..haha

In Malaysia, we have clouds almost every time and we rarely got to see the deep blue coloured sky~ So if you go to Aussie, just enjoy the scenery ^^ especially the sky..ehehe but be aware that the UV rays in Aussie is pretty high and if you happens to wear transition spectacles, you will experience the highest level of transition in Aussie. When my spectacles first adapting to the uv rays and turn as dark as it can, i was a bit (excited/curious) or the best word to describe it is 'jakun' as what Kedahan would say. haha

ahh.. as we arrive in Kingsford Airport, we were welcomed by our senior TESOL Cohort 1. The university has also arranged for our transport to the uni.. As we arrived, we stayed in the Macquarie University Village. Macquarie University is situated in an area called Macquarie :P Where is Macquarie? It is in the square shape near the red line rail map. You can see that Macquarie University is just a station away from Epping but it took 12 stations to get to the city or Central.  It would take at most around 30 minutes from Macquarie University Station to Central.

So, this is our shopping complex. Macquarie centre. We have everything here from Woolworth (Woolies: similar to giant/tesco where you can do groceries shopping), Easy Way (similar to coolblog), Ice rink, Cinema, Bookshop, Franklin, Paneta (fruit and vegetable store), Asian market, Halal food and lots more. To make it simple, we won't starve here..heheheh Next to Macquarie Centre is the railway station and opposite the station is our University ^^

There are lots of stories and nice pictures that can be shared just from this place only.. Our library is the best! The new library is the biggest one in Australia with 5 stories tall. I will share the story of the library later in another post.hahaha and that is all for tonight heee

The beginning of Anamnesis

The Anamnesis

To begin with, this is my first picture that I submit for a competition in my college. Guess what? this is also the first picture that made me won first place as an amateur photographer ^^

Next introduction? what is anamnesis????

The term does bring a few meanings.

1. It represents a concept in Plato's epistemological and psychological theory. According to wiki (ehh), it is the idea that humans possess knowledge from past incarnations and that learning consists of rediscovering that knowledge within us.

2. According to the definition in the dictionary, it would bring another 2 meanings:
     1. Psychology: A recalling to memory; recollection.
     2. Medicine: The complete history recalled and recounted by a patient.

To make it easy, I would say that i named my blog as anamnesis because i just feel like recalling my good memories through pictures that I have taken...

I am not a professional photographer..i'm an amateur but i just loveddddd taking pictures. I took pictures using just anything. mobile phones, compact camera as well as my DSLR D3100...

I'm not new here but i've been away from blogging site for almost 2-3 years due to certain circumstances.. I hope I can start blogging again and shares my anamnesis of life ^^
